1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, deploying a workload, or otherwise using yellowhost, you agree to these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and old enough to use Discord under Discord's rules and the law where you live.
If you use yellowhost for an organization or another person, you represent that you are authorized to act for them.
2. Accounts and security
yellowhost uses Discord OAuth for sign-in. You are responsible for the security of your Discord account, bot tokens, API keys and any credentials you place in environment variables. You must provide accurate account information and must not share access in a way that bypasses our controls.
Tell us promptly at support@yellowhost.cc if you believe your yellowhost account or hosted workload has been compromised.
3. The hosting service
yellowhost provides tools to upload, build and run Discord bot code in managed containers. Supported runtimes, resource limits, storage, networking, build behavior and features may change as the service develops.
The service is currently offered as a beta. Unless we explicitly publish a separate service-level agreement, we do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular uptime percentage, permanent storage, or that a workload will always restart successfully.
4. Your code, data and deployments
You keep ownership of code and other material you upload. You give yellowhost a limited permission to copy, store, build, execute, transmit and technically modify that material only as needed to provide, secure and troubleshoot the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed for everything you deploy, including libraries, assets, databases and external services. You are also responsible for your bot's behavior on Discord and elsewhere.
Do not place secrets directly in source archives when environment variables can be used instead.
5. Plans, bot slots and resource limits
The free beta plan normally includes one bot slot. Staff may grant additional bot slots to individual beta users. A granted slot is a revocable service allocation, not a purchased or permanent entitlement.
Each workload is subject to technical limits such as memory, CPU, storage, process count, build size and build time. You may not bypass or interfere with those limits. We may adjust limits to protect platform stability or respond to abuse.
6. Acceptable use and third-party rules
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law. Because yellowhost is designed for Discord applications, your use must also comply with Discord's applicable terms, developer policies and platform rules. Discord is a third party and is not controlled by yellowhost.
7. Suspension, removal and termination
We may stop or suspend a workload or account when reasonably necessary to protect users, infrastructure or third parties; investigate suspected abuse; comply with legal obligations; enforce these Terms or the AUP; or address severe resource problems.
For urgent security or abuse situations, action may be taken without advance notice. Where practical, we may explain the reason through the dashboard, Discord community or account contact channel.
You may delete individual bots from the dashboard. To request account deletion or deletion of retained account records, contact support@yellowhost.cc.
8. Beta changes and discontinuation
Features may be added, changed or removed during beta. We may discontinue the free service or introduce paid plans in the future. If a change materially affects existing users, we will try to provide reasonable notice through the site or community before it takes effect.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, yellowhost is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or suitable for a particular purpose. You should keep your own copy of source code and any data you cannot afford to lose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, yellowhost will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data or loss of goodwill arising from use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the free beta service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid yellowhost for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
11. Indemnity for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, if your unlawful or prohibited use of yellowhost causes a third-party claim or direct cost to the service, you agree to be responsible for that claim or cost to the extent it was caused by your conduct.
12. Applicable law
Mandatory consumer-protection and other non-waivable laws that apply to you remain in effect. Any dispute should first be raised with us at support@yellowhost.cc so we can try to resolve it informally. The governing law and forum will be those that lawfully apply to the operator of yellowhost and the user; these Terms do not override a consumer's mandatory right to bring a claim in a forum available under applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top will be updated when we do. Material changes will be announced through the website, dashboard, or Discord community when reasonably practical. Continued use after a change takes effect means the updated Terms apply to future use.
